RUSSIA BIDING HER TIME. CZECHS AN SLOVACS ORGANISING. Washington, May 13. Thomas Masarik, a Bohemian leader in education, who has arrived from Russia, states that Russia is preparing to strike against the Germans in the closing days of the war. Received May 14, 5.5 p.m. London, May 13. Reuter's Harbin correspondent states that General Seminoff has issued a communique stating that he restored the bridge over the Ovon river, which he crossed and occupied Adrianovsk. He continues to meet with popular sympathy. General Seminoff has issued a proclamation assuring the trans-Baikal people that his movements were not counterrevolutionary, but were intended to restore lawful freedom. Many Russian soldiers from Siberia have joined General Semj'noff. They state that the situation in Russia is becoming favorable for such movements, owing to the general discontent with Bolshevik despotism.—Reuter. CONFISCATION OF PROPERTY. TYRANNY OF THE GERMANS. Marie Leontiva Botchkareva, the leader of the "Battalion of Death," has arrived at a Pacific port from Russia. She crossed Siberia disguised as a peasant and took refuge on a British warship in Vladivostock harbor. She says she is going to France to fight the Germans, expecting to die on the battlefield.—Press Association. ROYALTY IN GERMAN HANDS. Received May 14, 8.30 p.m. Amsterdam, May 13. German newspapers state that the Dowager Empress of Russia and the Grand Dukes Nicholas and Alexander are now in German hands.—Reuter. REPORTED ACTIVITY OF -LENIN. Christiania, May 13. The Finnish Minister, M. Enclcell, has arrived at Helsingfors from Pefcrograd. He states that Lenin is establishing a regular army and trying to build up the finances on a broader basis. Tho Petrograd Labor Commune denies ihe reports of the threatened occupation of Petrograd and Moscow. —Times. FOOD WANTED AT PETROGRAD. Moscow, May 13. Lenin has telegraphed to the food organisations demanding immediate help in view of the catastrophic position at Petrograd. Lenin says the counterrevolution is raising its head and turning the discontent of the starving masses against the Soviet authority.—Reuter.
