LONDON MARKETS. Australian Cable Association. London, May 10. The distribution of wool for the civilian trade attracted few buyers; .12,150 bales were catalogued and 2200 sold. The fixed prices are higher than in January. The chief competition was for good free scoureds and greasy New Zealand lamb. Metals.—Unchanged. Butter.—Plentiful. Lard.—Very scarce. Wheat.—Quiet. Flour—Steady; a small quantity overseas released. Oats.—Quiet. Beans.—Firm, colonial not offering. Peas.—Advancing, New Zealand and Tasmanian white 56s to 60s cwt. on spot. —Press Association.
