Dunedin. Wednesday. At Burnside. to-day 225 fat cattle were rimmed, and prices were easier all round. Exporters bouslit, a few pens, helning to keep the market fairly steady. The entry exceeded butchers' requirements. Extra prime heavy bullocks, £l2 ss; heavy, .£lB 10s to £1!) 15a; medium, £ls 10s to £l7 10s; others. £l3 upwards; test heavy cows and heifers, to £l3; heavy, £lO 10s to £l2; others, £7 upwards. Sheep.—l 744 penned. The quality on the whole was below average, a large proportion being medium and inferior ewes. Owing to the short supply of prime heavy wethers, the best sheep of this class sold at slightly better prices than last week. All other classes were inclined to be easier. Extra prime heavy wethers, to 50s; prime 40s to 455; medium, 35s to 40s; light, 31s 6d upwards, best prime heavy ewes, to 40s 9d; heavy, 35s to 38s; medium. 28s Od to 325; others, 20s upwards: Lambs—--1127 penned. 'Prime lambs fit for export realised late rates, but inferior were easier. Extra prime heavy, to 41s; heavy, to 33s 3d; medium, 25s fld to 28s; stores, 20s upwards. CLEARING SALE AT WAITOITOI. On Thursdav, Mr. Newton King held a very successful clearing to's on t)hc farm at Waitoitoi, on behalf of Mr. S. J. Sutton. There was a largo attendance of buyers, and practically every lot offered was disposed of a{ Auction, very FfltJafactory price 3 being renfisei. fJood Jersey cows were sold at from £l7 to £23. A two-year-old Jersey bull realised 18 guineas- The farm horses averaged about £l7. The pedigree Jersey 'cows were keenly sought after, and the following sales were effected:— Manganui 5414, by Soumise Jack— Jersey Queen Bth. calved June, 1915, 18 guineas.
