Woodville, Last Night, At the Court to-day, before Mr, Reid, ■S.M., Martha Hutchins, formerly elerk to tht, Woodville County Council, pleaded guilty to charges of stealing sum# aggregating £<sos, from the council. The total amount of defalcations is over £I2OO, but has been reduced to the amount stated by deductions of suin» appearing in the books as having b»en received, but not received. The books are in a most eliaotia state, causing the Government auditor great troubje and weeks of hard unravelling. Accused was committed to the Supreme Court fc? sentence, bail being allowed, self in £3OO and two others of £3OO each. In another case, before the Justices, Henry Williamson, of the JVatherston Military Police, on a eharjre of two at-* tempts at indecent assaults on males, pleaded not guilty, reserved his defence, and was committed for trial, bail being allowed.

Counsel fo, defence explained that the reservist, when 'being engaged by the master of one of the company's steamers, teas asked if he !wd enrolled, and he replied Jie had lost his enrolment certificate.
