GERMAN DEMANDS. MEEKLY ASSENTED TO BY DUTCH. Received May 6, 8.30 p.m. The Hague, May 6. The Foreign Minister has notified Parliament of the conclusion of an agreement with Germany, who claimed the resumption of the transport of unlimit* ed quantities of sand and gravel through Dutch waters to Belgium. The Dutch Government agreed to a maximum of 1,600,000 tons to be transported annually, subject to a guarantee being given that it will not be used for military purposes. The Dutch also agreed to Germany's second claim for the unhampered exportation of 250;000 tons of gravel monthly from Holland to Belgium, and further agreed, after modification, to the third claim for the re-establishment of railway traffic from Germany to Belgium, via Roermond, which has been suspended since the outbreak of the war, subject to the exclusion of aeroplanes, arms, munitions, and army victuals from the traffic.—Press Association. •
