Palestine official: Early yesterday morning our forces east of the Jordan attacked the enemy holding the foothills south of Es Salt. Our mounteds, moving north along the east bank of the river, were within two miles of Es Salt by nightfall. We took 260 prisoners by noon. We advanced our line west of the Jordan to a maximum depth of a mile in the vicinity of Mezrah, occupying a village and the high ground westwards, after slight resistance. During the recent attacks in the Maan area, too Arabs took 560 prisoners.
