EVERYBf BIG DOUBLE PROGRAMME TO-NIGHT. JUNE CAPRICE IN "A SMALL TOWN GIRL." A new programme of exceptional brilliance will be introduced at Everybody's to-night and continued 'to-morrow. To arouse public interest in this select array of motion picture gems, it is only necessary to remark that one of the big features is a Fox film with winsome June Caprice and the clever little actress Jane Lee in the leading parts. It is entitled "A Small Town Girl," and portrays the life of a young country girl who dreams of the big cities but quickly has her dreams dispelled on arrival. However there is a pretty love story and heroine, June Caprice, and her little side partner, Jane Lee, have quite a series of adventures before happiness comeß to everyone. Another big star attraction ia the Greater Vitagraph feature, "Mary Jane's Pa," or "Tho Secret Husband," in which Mildred Manning and Marc McDermott have the leading parts. This play proved a remarkable stage success in America last year and the picture version has enjoyed an 'equally popular run. Amongst the supporting pictures there is the third series of the ''Bairnsfather's Cartoons," and the Gaumont Graphic. Owing to the length of this programme the first pictures will be screened at 7.45 sharp. There will be no increase in the prices of admission. COMING SATURDAY. "DEE THOROUGHBRED!" On Saturday and Monday next, the great sporting picture "The Thoroughbred," will be screened. This picture features the popular Frank Iveenan, and it is said to be equal in every respect to ''The Whip," which caused such a sensation a few months back. THE EMPIRE,
ETHEL r BARRYMORE IN THE METRO WONDERPLAY "LIFE'S WHIRLPOOL." The five acts of the latest Metro picture plav, "Life's Whirlpool," that commences a three night season at the Empire to-night, are wholly interesting, and draw into the business of the plot itself many an incidental scene of more, than ordinary beauty. "Life's Whirlpool" is a play written and directed by Lionel Barrvmore, and has tin; leading part played by his sister. She personates the character of Esther Carey, a victim of circumstance, who has been left alone in the world, and makes a mistake in her marriage. The husband is a scamp, and bis misdeeds cast the shadow of suspicion over Esther's life. She is suspected of a crime with which she lias had nothing to do. The most interesting part of this pretty story shows the series of events by which the girl is vindicated, and emerges unstained from the dangerous currents into which her feet wore. set. The American Weekly Gazette and a comedy are foremost among the supports. An added attraction to this powerful selection is tho ninth episode of the popular serial, "Peg o' the ing."
