THE CANADIAN BUDGET. * TEN MILLION SURPLUS. Received May 1, 10.30 pjn. Ottawa, April 30. Introducing the budget, Mr.. MaeLean, acting-Minister, said Canada's revenue m fifty-two million sterling, being an increase of five million over the previous year. The excess of income over expenditure gave ten million sterling towards the war expenditure. A new loan would be floated later in the year to cover the additional war cost and the maintenance of the land and sea forces, wkfcft were sow costing seventy million ■terifqg yearly. CONSCRIPTING WEALTHReceived May 1, 12.26 ajn. Ottawa, April 30.
