Mr. C. E. Daniell was yesterday re-elected chairman of the Wellington Harbor Board. Private Geo. T. I'ookes, of New Ply-< mouth, is reported in hospital suffering from a gunshot wound in the chest. Private Foolces saw service in South Africa, and was wounded at Bothasberg. The Wellington Harbor Board yesterday decided to appoint Captain P. S. Petersen as junior pilot for the port, on probation. Captain Petersen, who is master of the Te Anau, has been in the service of the Union Company for seven years. He is a native of Victoria, and his father was born in England.—Press Association. All four of Mr. Theodore Roosevelt's sons are on active service. Major Theodore Roosevelt, Captain Archie Roosevelt, and Lieutenant Kemit Roosevelt are with the Americans in Prance under General Pershing. The fourth son, Quentin, is serving with the British Army in Mesopotamia. Captain Archie Roosevelt was recently awarded the Croix de Guerre for gallantry in action. In the latest hospital report , the following Taranaki names appear:-—Seri-ously ill, H. Kemp (Stratford). Removed from dangerously ill list, Lieut;' lv. S. Ewing (New Plymouth). Severe cases, C. D. Field (Oaonui), A. Jeffery (Bell Block), R. 0. Okey (New Plymouth), D. W. Ritchie (Hawera). Not severe cases; Lance-Corporal H. J. Watts, J. A. Bell, and L. W. Hooker (Hawera), Sergeant A. R. Bayly (Omata), A. H. CaUaglian and-G. T. Eookes (New Plymouth), and B. Laurence (Tariki).
