WEATHER FORECAST.

Wellington, Last NightA rapid rise in th« barometric pressure took place in the South Island during the night, and considerable rain has fallen in most parts of the Dominion, and snow on the higher levels in the South Island. High west and south-westerly winds have prevailed, with cold and squally conditions. Present indications are for strong south westerly winds, with cold and showery conditions, and rising barometer everywhere.
