A FAREWELL MESSAGE.
FROM DEPARTING MINISTERS. By Telegraph.—-Press Association.' Wellington, Last Night. Mr. Massey, in a farewell message on behalf of Sir Joseph Ward and himself, says:—"We are leaving New Zealand shortly on an important Imperial mission, not of our seeking. I should like to predict when we come back we shall bring peace with us, but I am afraid the chances are remote. We are leaving New Zealand prosperous and peaceful. I am glad to be able to say that there is industrial peace from one end of New Zealand, to the other. I hope it will continue. I believe this, is largely due to the desire on the part of all classes to do their duty in the very serious times we are experiencing. From the outbreak of war we have endeavored to do crnr duty, and I think we have been successful. As we have acted up to the present so we must go .on, making the winning of the' war and the. salvation of the Empire our first object in life."
