/ CHINO-JAPANESE RELATIONS,
AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT.
Keuter Service, Received April 29, 5.5 p.m. Peking, April 28. ■ With a view to ending the sensational press speculation regarding the diplomatic situation, the Government has authorised a statement that existing negotiations between China and Japan are intended solely for co-operation against the enemy. The agreement terminates when peace is declared, without infringing the political or territorial integrity of China.
