BOWLING.

STRATFORD PROGRESSIVE PAIRS. Ten pairs participated in the Patriotic Progressive Pairs Tournament decided at Stratford on Thursday. In the morning the play was limited to nine heads and in the afternoon to 15 heads. Play throughout was interesting, and the wins of C. Jackson (skip) and C. Martin (lead) were both popular. In the table given below the lialf ; points scored indicate a drawn game. During an, interval, the Mayor (Mr. W. M'Milian) briefly referred to its being Anzac Day, and, to the cornet-playing by Mr. E. Sliarpe, all sang the National Anthem, whilst the "Last Post" was also given in memory of the Gallipoli Heroes.
