Mrs Sheehy Skeffington, widow of the Irishman executed during the Sinn Fein rebellion, arranged to give a speech at the demonstration of the Irish "Freedomites" at San Francisco, but members of the Californian Council prohibited the address on the ground that attacks on Britain were not permitted. CONTROLLING THE WOOL INDUSTRY. Received April 26, 9.30 p.m. New York, April 25. The United Press states the Government will take measures to control the wool industry. Details are not an-, nounced. Another message states that woolgrowers at a conference agreed to offer the Government the entire wool output of the United States, based on the prices ruling last July. This action will probably avert commandeering.
