Pleasants, lessee of L.P. sections 1 and 2, block VIII, Aria S D., area 1551 acres, who was required to complete improvements to the value of £2938, forwarded a declaration that improvements to the value of £43000 had been effected. —Accepted as satisfactory. A. K. Sexton, lessee of R.L. section 6, block VII., Heao S.D.. 47S acres, who was required to complete improvements to i'lie value of £4300 had been efvear's extension of time to make up the deficiency .--Approved. The Whangar.iomona County Council's proposals for thirds accrued to 31-3-18, amounting to £143 5s 9d, were approved. Murray I'rquhart, lessee of section 23, Clandon Settlement, block XVI.. Huiroa S.D., was granted 12 months' further exemption from residence on account of military service. The Commissioner of Crown Lands submitted schedules of defaulting Crown tenants in the matter of rental payments, giving the names of lessees, the amount and particulars of rent overdue at date, and. nsked the direction of the board in the matter of recovery of lie accounts in question.—Resolved to circularise the tenants in question, requesting payment within one month from date, otherwise further steps will he taken for recovery, and in the case of a few defaulters, to warn them i h,it, unless pa y.nent is made that leases will be forfeited and the rental arrears sued for. The Public Trustee forwarded copies of awards of the arbitrators for renewal of West Coast Settlement Reserve leases ;n respect of lot A and lot B, sub-section 5, block VII, Opunake S-D. (Ngatiinarongo Block), held by Hugh M'Cann.— Received and adopted. The county clerk. Whangaiuomona. County Council, forwarded proposals for expenditure of accrued thirds, £7<i (; fid, metalling Wliangamoinona road.— Approved, subject to Crown lands ranger certifying. The licensee of section (i, block 111., Piopiotea West S.D., area 127 acres applied for a remission of rent. —Resolved, that recommendation be made to grant an exemption of rent for a period of two years, commencing from July 1, 1918. GENERAL. Four mortgages, aggregating £2300, were approved, subject to current rates.
