EVERYBODY'S WILLARD MACK AND ENID MARKEY IN 'THE CONQUEROR." A relentless, implacable Wall street magnate is the hero of "The Conqueror," the unique Triangle drama screening at Everybody's to-night and to-morrow. The role is taken by Willard Mack, whose strong face and piercing eyes contrast strongly with the refined features of Wayne Madison, the society leader, played by .1. Barney Sherry The story concerns a man who fought his way up from bitter poverty to over society which lie hated and . despised. Suffering from a sharp snub, he sets about the ruin of Madison, which, through skilful manipulation of the markets he soon accomplishes. Then he compels Madison to promise his daughter's hand in return for mercy, and when be faces the unwilling girl' lie taunts her with being what she is. The ending is very far nway from what might be expected, and the conclusion of tht> story is quite unexpected. The playis remarkable for its settings. It portrays the idle rich set of modern ■America, and (heir manners and customs with striking vividness, and the settings are of unexampled costliness and luxury. The supporting roles are taken by Enid Markey and Louise Brownell. both of whom do work instinct with emotional power. Amongst the supporting pictures there is another of the famous "Bairnsfather's Cartoons" and a fine "Gaumont Graphic." THE EMPIRE. VIOLA DANA IN "ALADDIN'S OTHER LAMP." A fine Metro feature, "Aladdin's Other will be the star attraction at the Empire to-night. Viola Dana is the star of this delightful picture, and is given many opportunities to show her remarkable ability As the Motion Picture News says: "Miss Dana's performance throughout is a meritorious one. In playing the part of a young girl, Miss Dana, it may safely be said, lias few equals and no superiors." Good, bright, attractive, wholesome entertainment will be found in "Aladdin's Other Lamp,;' written by Willard Mack and based on his story called, "The Dream Girl," An old lamp that belonged to the little slavey's dead father caused her to dream a wonderful dream in which she goes to a ball in a gorgeous gown and discovers her sweetheart, the grocery clerk, is really a prince and is making love to her rival, the richest girl in town. She awakens 'to find herself still a drudge and, Harry a grocery clerk, but the lamp contains a letter that straightens out all her difficulties. The supporting films include the eighth episode of the popular "Peg o' the Ring."
