ASSESSMENT COURT.

OBJECTIONS TO BOROUGH VALUATIONS. A sittiing of the Assessment Court to hear objections to Xcw Plymouth Borougli valuations was -held at the courthouse yesterday, Mr. A. Crookc, S.M., presiding. Mr. J. 11. Quilliam, with the valuer (Mr. H- F. Russell) appeared for the Borough Council. Cornwall, P. M. Culpitt, Emma Douglas, Cbas. Edgecombe, C. F. Foote, M. A. Foote, J. Grayson, E. A. Grayson, J. R. Goldwater, R. C. Hammond, J. H. Howell, E. Harvey, F. J. Hill, Thomas Hood, W. J. Emeny, J. M'Keen, H. A. 'M'Cleland, E. M'Ginty. There being no appearance in the following cases, the objections were struck out i—F. H. Brown, W. J. C-le-land, Wm. S. Bamsey, E. Fay, Henry Huthnance, S. Lush, W. C. Nixon, Nellie E. Roberts, E. P. Shepherd, Q. W. Slade. The following objections were adjourned:—A. Bullot, E. A. Billing, Chew Chong, Trustees Estate R. Cunningham, F. J. Cowling, bartmoor Estate Co., E. Evans, G. M. Eraser, F. E. Govett, M- Govett, and M. R. Govett, Government Insurance Commissioner, Alfred George, J. B. George, D. Hutffhen, W. J- Honeyfleld, E. B. Kingdon, Thos. Knoivles, J. Lashbrooke, Melbourne Clothing Co., A. Ranison, E. R. Ramson, S. Ridgley, Mary Richardson, Trustees Estate Mary Standisli, Eliz. P. Tribe, E. H. Tribe, A- Warren, C. Warren, E. Way. On the application of Mr. J. H. Quilliam, the Court then adjourned to Friday, May 3, to hear any objections in which the settlements had not then been effected. . All the objectors concurred in the motion for the adjournment.
