The Associated Board reports thai the gold and silver medals offered annually to candidates at tTie local centre practical examinations have been awarded for the year 1917 as follows: Advanced Grade. Gold medal; Marjory Holmwood, pianoforte, 136 marks (Mr. A. B. Wallace, Masterton), Silret medal: No candidate has qualifier to receive this medalIntermediate Grade. —Gold medal: Jean M. Mathieson. singing, 136 marks (the Preparatory College, Seatonn). Silver medal: Elizabeth Sunderland, pianoforte, 135 marks (Mrs. Forrest, Wellington). The Victor Harris Memoriam Gold Medal. Dorothy Hughes Johnson, violin intermediate, 133 marks (Misa Price, Wanganui).
