CLASS B BALLOT.

10,000 NAMES BEING DRAWN. The first ballot of Class B men of the Second Division, the drawing of which was commenced by the Government Statistician (Mr. Malcolm Fraser) at Wellington on Tuesday morning is for 10,000 men in that class, which is composed of married men with one child. Mr S. E. McCarthy, S-M., supervised the drawing, which will be concluded to-day. The Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke, M.P.), and Mr. H. Holland were also present to witness the proceedings. When the total names are drawn 8000 men will still be left in Class B.
