THE HUMORISTS ON RUSSIA.
No one seems able to keep pace with the changes in the Russian situation so well as the American humorist. Passing through Emporia (Kansas), where Walt Mason, the rhyming philosopher,
lives, it seemed natural to get his views nf the situation. This Is how his comment began : With frenzied elocution each day at 9 o'clock, To make a revolution the Russian leaders tlock, 80-whiskered men and grizzled assume the high command, By sunset they have fizzled, at twilight they are canned.
Another humorist, objecting to the phrase that Kerensky has become a man of pathetic mystery, writes: — Kerensky cracked because instead of nct'ffn ho conversed. He took the bull by the ear, and net the horns. He cried havocksky and let slip a pack of roaring sucking doves. He hung his banners on the inner walls and struck when tho iron was cold. The only mystery about Kerensky was—did he accent his panie oo the {first syllable or the second?
