BUSH FIRE RELIEF FUND.
The Mayor acknowledges the following donations: Mr. •!. A. Meier, Warea, £1 [ nettlers of Waitui and Bristol Road, per-'Mr. H. Pagan, £35; school children, Tc Kiri, £1 13s 6d. The fund has now reached the satisfactory snjn of £62!) 3s, and, having passed the *£GOO limit, the Mayor considers it closed, but any amounts that may come in will, of course, be forwarded. The Mayor asks us to state that in acknowledging £lO from Messrs. Sutton, Fraser and Wells, Uruti, he omitted to mention the names of Messrs. Sutton and Eraser.
