Wireless German official: Bitter hand-to-liand fighting frequently developed on the Lys battlefield. We cleared an English machine-gunners' neat south-west of Xeuve Eglise and between Bailleul and Merris, taking the occupants prisoners. Enemy counter-attacks at Bailleul, north-west of Bethune, broke down heavily. Our troops and naval detachnfypnts in Finland, after a vigorous u.icounter with armed bands, entered H^lsingfors. VON KUHLMANN. Received April IC, 10.40 p.m. Washington, April 15. Advices from Berne state that Herr von Kuhlmann has gone to general headquarters to confer with Baron von Hertling.
