GOLDEN WEDDING.

WEBSTER—WATSON. The golden wedding of Mr. and Mrs. W. I). Webster wag celebrated at their residence, "Paetawa," Fulford Street, 011 Monday last. In addition to the members of the family present, tlnsre were also amongst the guests, Mrs. Webster's mother (Mrs. Watson), Mrs. W. Cutfield (nee Leatham), and Mrs. W. Bewley (nee Brind), who were bridesmaids at the marriage, and Mr. J. S. McKellar, who was groomsman. The day was also the anniversary of the birthday of both Mr. and Mrs. Webster. The health of the "Bride and Bridegroom" was proposed by the Rev. F. G. Harvie, vicar of St. Mary's, Mr. Webster responding. Dr. Leatham proposed the health of "Mrs. Watson," Mr. Fred Watson responding. Mr. W. D. Webster proposed the health of "The Bridesmaids and Groomsman," Messrs. McKellar and W. Bewley responding. "Absent Relatives and Friepds" was proposed by Mr. F. Watson, Captain S. Sargent replying. Mr. and Mrs. Webster were the recipients of many messages of congratulation from friends in various parts of the Dominion, and also a cablegram from their son, Staff-Sergeant Dawson Webster, of the New Zealand Records Office, London. They were also the recipients of a number of handsome presents.
