CLOSING HOURS OP SESSION. (By \yire—Parliamentary Reporter) Wellington, Last Night The Session of Parliament which had been held under circumstances somewhat similar to the Dreadnought session of 100 i), closed last night, after occupying six sitting days, or the same time as that of nine years ago. The closing hours of the session were taken advantage of by Ministers, who almost overwhelmed members with a vast budget of statements of various kind. Several of the statements contained no new matter, but were made, in order to place on record certain figures and facts previously announced. Notices of questions to Ministers, which have been pouring in ever since it was known that they would not be. answered during the session, continued to flow in, upwards of twenty, having been added to the list yesterday. Only two new local bills were introduced just before tlie House rose, and the second reading asked for on "next siting day." The session closed with the singing of the. National Anthem shortly after nine o'clock, without the usual formal division on the motion for an adjournment, the demand for it being made too late.
