PROLONGATION OF PARLIAMENT.
THE DIVISiOX LIST. (Cy Wire.—Parliamentary Reporter), Wellington, April 13. The House did not -pend much time discussing tile proposal for the prolongation of the life of Parliament. _Members had well defined views. Them were hints given that a division on the subject was not reasonable, but the opponents of extension disregarded .Mr. SUthain's amendment to limit the extension to April instead of December. HMD, wiiieh negatived by 40 votes to 20, and the llovernuient proposal was then approved by 40 votes to 13.
