UNNEIGHBORLY BEHAVIOUR.

To the Editor Sir,—lt came as rather a surprise to most of us to find we have a few men comprised of the directors and leading men of the Stratford Dairy Company who seem capable of actions which 1 can hardly describe in adequate language in the columns of a newspaper. The following account of their actions towards three of their fully paid up shareholders will prove The recent hea.vy rain brought down a large slip, which completely blocked the road and prevented the aforementioned dairymen from tailing their milk to the Waihapa cheesefactory, which they have been doing since the closing down of the "Robson road creamery. One of the milk suppliers was cut off bv the slijf and a dangerous bridge, and, being a large shareholder in the Stratford Dairy Company took his milk to the Stratford Company's creamery on the Skinner road, which was accepted by the manager of the creamery The supplier subsequently interviewed the general manager and some of the directors of the Stratford Company on his own behalf and also that of the others, who could not get to the cheese factory and was informed that the Stratford Company would not pay him for the milk received nor allow him or the other etranded dairymen, though paid up shareholders in the Stratford Company to deliver their milk at their creamery. Judging the directors and manager of the Stratford Company by their actions, it appears their desire was to compel the three dairy farmers to waste their milk until such times as the road was open to the Waihapa cheese factory, hi times like the present anyone who endeavors to compel others to wa.ste food chifT of which there is a world shortage rtould be severely punished. In con-(v-i -Hip Xsaere Ttairr Company, when approached, welcomed the suppliers who were cut off from their own factory, and took a reduced quantity of whey in order that the Waihapa suppliers should have sufficient whey to feed their pigs. Xeedless to fav all the Waihapa suppliers are very grateful to those who comprise the Ngaere Company for their kindness to their fellow farmers and suppliers.—l am, etc., STRATFORD SHAREHOLDER. 11/4/18
