ADDINGTON' MARKET. Christehureh, April 10. At Addington market to-day the yardings of fat sheep and fat ljmbs were somewhat larger than last week, while there were fewer store sheep. The entry of fat cattle was about the same, but there was an increased offering of store cattle. For fat lambs the prices per head were better, as there were some very prime lines offered. Freezing buyers' prices averaged about Sfd per lb 'over all. , Fat sheep were firmer by at least Is per head, as export buyers were operating freely, their purchases averaging 63d per lb over all for wethers and 6:} d for ewes. Fat cattle showed a decline, and prices were nearer the export level, so that there was more business done for freezing than for some time past. There was a better demand for store sheep, wethers and lambs being more sought after than ewes. Backward sorts were selling better than the most, forward-condition-ed, no doubt on account of stubble feed now being available. Good young ewes did not sell quite so well as the week before, and North Island ewes that had been down for some time were very dull of sale, and dairy cows were in fair demand.
