CRUELTY ON THE FARM.

To the Editor. Sir, —I hove just read in your correspondence column of a farmer strapping one leg of his dog to keep it from reaching his stock. It appears to be quite a common custom. I think it is quite time that someone should be appointed to look into these matters, as on most farms the cruelty practised on the poor dumb animals, not .dogs alone, but on all animals, is sickening and revolting. The poor things have their feelings as well us we Christians. I for one, would give all the support in my power to appoint someone, say the policeman of the tfistriet, to look into | these matters- —I am, etc, j A IJOVER OF ANIMALS. Funiho, April 10.
