"Tides of Fate," a World film ot much beauty, many a heartache and sofne reuiu tense moments, is the centrepiece in the bill at Everybody's to-day and to-night, in "Tides of Fate'' a new star, Alexandra Carlisle, makes her debut on the screen and proves herself a bright and winsome personality and a capable actress The story told is virile though not original, it is of a bright and innocent girl, who falls in with a scoundrel—a suave, easy-mannered man of the world, who finds her prey The pathos of the tale comes with the awakening of womanhood in the girl, together with the realisation of how she has been duped and her life ruined. The play makes a tense, exciting drama, with a fine climax. The fun-film of the entertainment is the Triangle masterpiece, "Secrets of a Beauty Parlour" a laugh-ter-raiser with not a dull moment The fourth episode of "The Girl in the Game" is also showing on tliiri programme. She often sees Jervis Pendleton, but does not dream that he is "Daddy Long Legs.'' A deep attachment springs up between them, and Jervis asks Judy to become his wife. She refuses, saying there is someone else she loves more than lum Jervis thinks that she is in love with a young man named Mcßridge, but, his generous nature asserts itself. Therefore he writes to Judy in bis assumed name, "Daddy Long Legs." and tell? her he wider-
