THE CONSCRIPTION PROPOSAL AN ADVERSE COMMENT. London, April 7. The report that the Cabinet proposes to apply conscription to Ireland has caused a sensation. The Irish Times says: "It is generally felt that the scheme cannot receive the support of honest politicians who must realise that the peaceful state of Ireland is necessary to prepare the way for the acceptance of the decision of the Convention."
