The Press Bureau states that President Wilson, replying to the King, expresses gratification at his Majesty's generous message, and adds: "We shall continue to do our utmost to put the whole force of the United States into this great struggle." Mr. Lloyd George, in a message to the Viceroy of India, says that in view of the German rulers' transparent intention to establish tyranny, not only throughout Europe, but in Asia, he asks the Government and the people of India to redouble their efforts. The enemy's at- / tempt in the West is being checked, but to prevent the menace spreading east*«*d every lover of freedom and law must play his part. Mr. Lloyd George does not doubt that India will add to its laurels already won, and equip itself on ertn a greater scale as a bulwark to save Asia from the tide of oppression and disorder which it is the enemy's object to achieve. The Viceroy replied: India fully realises the great issue at stake. The" trumpet call will not fall on deaf ears. He is confident it will awake both princes and people to a keener sense of the great danger which is being stemmed in Europe, and now threatens to spread, more eaatwtnd.
