Mc'COOMBS PAYS UP.
BANKRUPTCY PETITION WITHDRAWN. By Telegraph.— Press Association. Christclmrch, April 8. The adjourned hearing of the petition of the creditors, Bowron Bros, and T. Kincaid, Ltd., calling on James McCombs, M-P., to show cause why he should not be declared a bankrupt, was taken before Air.. Justice Stringer to-day. McCombs did not appear. Mr. Wright, for the petitioning creditors, said the full amount of the judgments, together with all costs, had been paid into Court. They did not wish, therefore, to proceed, and asked permission to withdraw the petition. He added that it was understood Mr. McCombs had settled with all the creditors. His Honor said the petitioning creditors were entitled to accept payment if they chose, though they were riot bound to do so. The petition would be withdrawn by leave of* the Court.
