MOTOR CYCLE RACES.
The Automobile Association of South Taranaki hold their first motor cycla meeting on the Hawera racecourse on Wednesday, Aprfl 17. Tht progr&mms consists of seven events—four for amateurs and three for professionals. The prizes offered are very liberal and good entries should be received for the various events. The course is receiving special attention and given fine weather a b!g attendance should result. Grass track motor racing is coming into prominence and at the recent carnival held in Christdhurch an Australasian record was established. The snort* themselves are not the tame affairs such as most people imagine and the promoters have in hand a scheme whereby the interest in each event will be at fever heat. On the front page of -this issue will be found a programme of the meeting and anyone wishing for further information is advised to communicate with the hon. secretary, Mr. V. B. Stratton, Box 31, Hawera.
