ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
FOUND DEAD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. John Paaske, an elderly man, married, was found dead in his house at Wadestown' torday. He had recently returned from Cliristchurch, where, he said, he caught a severe cold, and was last seen about on Wednesday. DROWNED IN CROSSING A RIVER. Gisborne, Last Nig'lit. Tha police were advised to-night that Fredk. Charles Dette was drowned at about seven o'clock while crossing the river near Whatatutu on horseback. Deceased was forty-six vears, and is understood to be a married man with no children. He was carpenter and sawmillef and well known in the district- The body has been recovered-
