A dispersal sale of stud Polled Abet* deen Angus cattle, [belonging to tUB Gladbrook Estate, commenced when 100 lots, comprising oowa, heffers> and calves were offered. About 400 s*>« pie were present, 100 of whom vyc4 from the North Island, Tasmania* New South Wales and Queensland. Compel tition was very keen for Mgh-clas# young animals, 375 guineas being obtained for Nap, a seven-year-old cow, purchased by Mr. Carlyon (Wairarap*)'* The same buyer secured Susan, a twoi year heifer, for 215 guineas. Prices fw} the other cows ranged from 45 guinea* to 140 guineas.
With few exceptions the animals wwi purchased by Hawkes' Bay, Wwrawpa.' and Gisborne breeders. The oeJvos realised 15 guineas to 100 guineas, #» latter price being paid by Mr CiwreJ (Hawkea Bay). The total realisiriLrr'i £7704. ™—w*
