WELLINGTON DEFEATS AUCKLAND. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Tho Auckland v. Wellington cricket match was resumed in fine weather. The sun had dried the wicket considerably, but it was still easy. The visitors started well, but went to pieces towards the finish of their innings, which closed for 190. The match resulted in a win for Wellington by an innings and I*2 runs. Midlane played a useful innings ■ of 68, Hemus and Horspool 24, Brooke Smith 18. Graham 11, tho only others to reach double figures. Brice took seven wickets for CO rune. Tuckwell fielded well for the home team, catching four men*
