SITUATION MORE TENSE. BIG ENEMY OFFENSIVE EXPKOUIii). Washington, April 1. Official cables from Rome state that the situation is becoming more tense on the Italian front. The enemy is bringing new divisions from the Roumanian front. Italian aviators report great movements of Austrian troops in the Val Lagana, and everything indicates that Hie Austro-Germans will make a big effort to break through the mountainous zone to the Italian plains. NO GRAIN FOR ENEMYBerne, April 1. Austrian newspapers state that 100 wagons of wiieat have been sent to revictual Austrian troops in the Ukraine, where grain is unobtainable, completely falsifying the hopes of the Central Powers. FINANCIAL SITUATION GRAVE. Petrograd, April 1. The financial situation is very grave. Tiie Government is printing over ; three milliards of paper money monthly to cover expenses.
