TO-NIGHT—EMMY WEIILEN IN "THE TRAIL OF THE SHADOW."
To-night Emmy Wehlen will star for the last time in the Metro "The Trail of the Shadow." The unusual feature of Miss Wehlcn's part, is that in addition to representing the vigor and vitality of a Western girl who can ride and shoot, she is also seen in rich and ciuiured surroundings, where she has an opportunity to wear some of the magnificent gowns for which she is famed. Miss Wehlen in turn interprets the east audi the west, the social graces and the life of the great outdoors, in this remarkable photodrama. ''The Trail of the Shadow" is a true Metro woriderplav of 1 action and romance. A romantic and beautiful love story is developed in which treachery and devotion are vividly contrasted, and the charm and beauty of Emmy Wehlen have never been more apparent than in this picture. When lier other great successes are remembered—"Her Reckoning " "The 'Pretenders," "Vanity," "The Duchess of Doubt," and "Sowers and Eeapfers"— and it is realised that "The Trail of the Shadow" is greater than these, the value of the present, picture will be understood. The supports include the fourth episode of the popular circus serial, "Peg o' the Ring." EVERYBODY'S. ETHEL CLAYTON IN A WORLD FILM MASTERPIECE, "SOULS ADRIFT."
Far from the ordinary picture theme as is heaven from earth, the great World feature film, "Souls Adrift," takes flrkt place on the current bill at Everybody's this afternoon and to-night. Ethel Clayion has the main role, together with Milion Sills, the hero who during the course of the plot becomes her lover. The. story is remarkable, insomuch as it indulges in the theories held bv some creeds that man is born and reborn, in each existence working towards something better. The hero is a fine practical type of man. and in the early stenes he is the engineer on a luxurious yacht. The girl is the owner's daughter, and s?it> leaves the gay pleasures of the saloon for the deck. '.Lucre, she meets the man, now so far beneath her in the social scale, but who, according to the story, was once her mate in sonic previous existence. The boat is wrecked, and the two are thrown upon a wild land. The lc.mainder of the thrilling tale tells how the two not nions« together. It is a fascinating study that cans carcely fail to please patrons. The supports include fhe second episode of the sensational Mutual, serial "The Girl and the Game," in which the intrepid Helen Holmes takes the leading part.
