ALLIES' FURTHER RETREAT. VIOLENT FIGHTING. Received March 2S, 11 p.m. London, March 28. Wireless German official: The English n»<i French yesterday tried to arrest our advance on lite Sommo. Our attack broke through tiie enemies' lines. Early thia morning and onwards the enemy retreated on a wide front on both sides of the Nomine. Our sharp pursuit overcame the stubborn resistance of the enemies' rearguards. We crossed the Anere north-westward an™ southward oi Albert, which fell in the evening. There is violent fighting southward of the Somme via Chauln<;s and Lihons. We (Stormed Rove and cleared out the enemy. At No.yon there wa« blondv fighting- We crossed many of our old positions before the 1910 Somme 'battle.
The prisoners are growing and the booty increasing. There are ultiiiery battles in Flanders, at Verdun, and in Lorraine,
