WITIORA GOLF CLUB.

.ANNUAL MEKTIXfi. The annual meeting 'of the Witiora Colt Club was hold last night. There K&--i only a small attendance, which was presided over by Mr. Oeorge (irey (captain). Tho animal report congratulated the treasurer (Mr. 1!. H. Ceorge) on die excellent linauc'.ai position of the club, as although the club had lost very heavily in the number of members through the war ami other causes there was still a credit balance of £23 2s 7(1. Praise was given to the groundsman (Mr. Hurlstone) on the excellent condition of the links and the greens, the cost of this work being £2O less than la*t year. Three club matches had been played, two against the New Plymouth Club and one against the Inglewocd Club, all of which were won with good margins. The senior championship was won by Mr. Elliott and the junior by Mr CorneyThe treasurer submitted the annual balance-sheet- The report and balancesheet were adopted.

The election of officers resulted: Patron, the Karl of Liverpool; president. Mr. W P. O'Callaghnn; vice-presidents, Archdeacon Evans, Messrs J. S. S. Medley, and T. K. Skinner.; captain, Mr. GeoGrey; vice-captain, Mr. W. 11. Broome; committee, Messrs Elliott, Broome, Corney, Cannell and Bond; treasurer, Mr. Pl. George; secretary. Mr- J. S. S. Medley; auditor, Mr. V. Elliot. The subscriptions were fixed the same as last vear.

A motion was passed: 'That the club deeply regrets the death of two of its members during the vear, namelv, the Rev. A. H. Colvile and' Mr. .1. G. List." Votes of thanks were accorded the captain, treasurer, secretary, and the press, and to Messrs Medley and Rundle for the use of their office as a committee room.
