*mKILED BY EXPRESS TRAIN. My Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, March. 25. While passing through Templeton tonight the south express ran into a cart driven by an old man named Charles James, aged 70 years, water inspector to the Paparua County Council. James was crossing the lino at a crossing. He was killed instantly and the cart smashed to matchwood, but the horse miraculously escaped. The express was travelling at over forty miles an hour.
