PERSONAL.
Mrs. A. W. Hutchins, Uruti, has been advised that her sen Alfred has been transferred to the Royal Victorian Hospital, Netley. Mrs. F. Boulton, Frankley Road, has received word that her son, Rifleman F. W. Boulton, has been transferred to the Convalescent Depot, Uornchurch.
Mrs. V. Newell lias .been further advised that her .son Darcy, who was wounded in the face, is seriously ill in Brockenlmrst Hospital. Mr. A. Grace, of Kaponga, has received a telegram from the Defence Minister informing him that his son, Sergeant A. R. Grace (21st'Reinforcements) has iJeen admitted ill to hospital in France. Amongst the soldiers who are'returning to '.New Zealand this month are: Captain W. K. Foley (next of kin residing at New Plymouth); l?te. H. A. Bower (Waitarn); and Private S. L. Goodwin, M.M. (Taranaki). The members of the local telephone exchange start' made a presentation on Saturday afternoon to Miss D. Hasluck, prior to her departure from the ofiice. Mr. A. .T. FalipyMuade the presentation and expressed the regret of the staff at the impending departure of Miss Hasluck. Afternoon tea was dispensed after the presentation.
