FOR FARM MOTORS —"NOVOKO"

Now that motor fuel ia so dear, the farmer who runs a stationary engine, tractor or motor car will welcome the wonderful economy in fuel which Novoko makes possible. This splendid fuel cconomiser is a highly concentrated synthetic benzine purifier and it produces phenomenal power with a very much smaller consumption of bsnzine, gasoline, motor spirit and kerosene. The facts about Novoko are, briefly, as follows: It will make the motor 50 to 70 per cent, more efficient without increase in. amount of fuel used, and.the cost works out at only 3<l to the gallon. That is to say, all you have to do.is to add one ounce of Novoko to every gallon of benzine, motor spirit or kerosene, and the above big economy will result. Novoko has been tested in scores of motor ears and Btationary engine?— I here is the report of a trial carried out by Mr. Mason Bayly, of Bett and Bayly's Motor Garage, Palmerston North. This took place in Beptember last; The following speaks for itself: —"The plant used was a 3 li.p. stationary benzine engine, coupled to a 25 to 40 dynamo connected up to a lighting set. The engine was allowed to run tjll stopping point on a halfpint of KalifT motor spirit. A further half-pint of Novoko-treated motor spirit was then used, and the engine once more set a going, with the feed and air readjusted. Every condition was similar exactly in the two runs, and the Novoko proved itself triumphant to the tune of an increase of just over 78 per cent, in running time, with exactly the same amount of fuel" Tiie above letter bears the signature of Mr. Mason Bayly and his foreman motor mechaiiic, Mr. Ernst A. L'hrbom. Get a tin of Novoko and cut down the running cost of your motor. It is interesting to itote that in addition to the above facts, Novoko is not injurious to metals —a bottle containing coins, copper-plate, wire, steel and iron parts in a mixture of Novoko and motor spirit reveals not the slightest/trace of corrosion after nearly a year. The Company alfoolutely guarantees that Novoko will not injuriously affect the engine. It 1s procurable from all garages and dealers in petrol, and the prices are as follows: — 5/- 1 pint tin, sufficient for 20 gallons'; 17/6 hajf-gallon tin, sufficient for 80 gallons; and 32/6 for a one-gallon tin. suffipient for I®o gallons.

The-new system of physical drill and ■bayonet instruction brought from Home by Captain Brocks, M.C., is, it is stated, proving very popular in the camps at Trentham and 'Featherston. Two or three classes of instructors have been chosen for their physical and mental qualities from the ranks of the trained "non-coms.," and these men have proved generally most efficient ns instructors- They have had several weeks' special training- to fit them to take the men in squadrt of about 25 at ;i time. The new recruits, it is said, come fresh to the work and quickly realise that it is both interesting and beneficial to them. They prefer it ;rrpatly io the ordinary infanfrv drill. The new metlijods are also proving most h'li'dio'al at the CI e.tmp. •'■!■! l.'"v i< e\pre----cd ("it 't'-U s-stm-,i \v ; l! !-• vy'."v 'el to the 'JVrr'Tirl trHn'v" i'.!i-cv :••• it ,vi ; ! add :<i-
