COUNTRY LIGHTING.

THE PROBLEM SOLVED, Over 3000 farmers and country business men in 'New Zealand have solved their house and store lighting difficulties by installing the now famous ''Wizard" light, and apart from these satisfied people there is scarcely a country resident who is not seriously considering having a lighting plant fitted in his house. Tlhe "Wizard" light has made all other forms of lighting for country homes obsolete; in fact, in towns such as Palmerston North, Ham-> ilton and Masterton, many of the residents have given up using coal gas supply and hud "Wizard" lamps installed in their homes. They now get a three hundred candle power light at about a quarter the cost of coal was. The great success of the "Wizard" lias produced the usual crop of imitators, but the essential features of the "Wizard" lamps are patented and cannot to be copied. For instance "Wizard" lamps are lit with an ordinary wax match, others require a flaring methylated spirit torch to start-them. The "Wizard" is fitted with a patent generator, having an automatic, needle to keep tfie jet clean while the lamp is burning; other lamps must be put out and a needle like a primus needle inserted in the jet to clear it, and this pushes the dirt into the generator instead of out, as is the case with the "Wizard." Again, "Wizard" lamps are made especially for New Zealand conditions, and are fly, moth, and beetle proof. This in a great advantage as these pests cause great damage to mantles and globes, if the mantles are not protected.' The "Wizard" gas: ring should alfio be in every country home. "Wizard" lamps are giving good service to the Government for post offices, wireless stations, military camps, railways, etc. All "Wizard" plant, arc guaranteed for.five years, and complete plants can be obtained for from £ls up--1 wards, from 'Mr. II- 11.
