The Department of Agricultural, Industries, and Commerce has received the following cablegram, dated London, March 10, 1918, from tho High Commissioner for New Zealand. Meat.—Available quantity not large, but on account of rations preserit supplies meet requirements. Supplies consist chiefly of New Zealand lamb, Canadian beef, and English calves, all at maximum prices. English mutton and beef, small supply. liu'tcr and Cheese.—No change since last report; small supply sellfng at maximum prices. Homp.—Manila hemp, superior grade, is in demand, early delivery. Stocks at February 28 were 31,998 bales against 33,32!) bales at February 28 last year. New Zealand, already shipped, continues in active demand. Practically nothing for forward shipment. Wheat and Oats.—Market very quiet owing to tho absence of offers for account of Government. Official quotations have not changed.
