BRITISH AIRMEN'S ENTERPRISE. * CARRYING WAR INTO GERMANY. Received March 20, 5.5 p.ir. London, March 19. The British raided Germany 255 times, losing a total of 10 aeroplanes. Received March 20, 9.45 p.m. London, March 1!). In the House of Commons Mr. J. T. Macpherson (Secretary to the War Office), stated that 253 flights had recently been carried out in Germany. Only ten machines wore lest. Over a ton of bomb 3 was dropped on Mannheim, there being eight direct hits on large works. There had been carried out .thirty-eight effective raids since October, dropping forty-eight tons of bombs. The air service was increasing the distance of the raids, in striking contrast with the enemy's air activity. The Government had decided, with the permission of the Allies, to place the "maisons tolerlls" in French towns out of bounds for British troops. Jewish units will as far as possible he utilised in Paketise.
