WEATHER FORECAST.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Tho centre of a cycle has passed to th* south-east of New Zealand, and ivestfiiv to southerly gales have ruled and heavy rain has fallen in the South Island, with snow on the high levels. Conditions are s f ill unsettled generally. Present indication are for high southerly winds, cold squally weather, with heavy rain, and rivers rising in many parts of the country. The barometer is rising everywhere.
