NEW PLYMOUTH B DEFEATS* FITZROY. In the Gilmour Cup match between the above on the town green on Satur- , day, Fitzroy were defeated by 11 points. •New Plymouth had the best of the play at two rinks, Smart proving a long way too good for Higga, but this was to a large extent counterbalanced by Allen's team, who put Firth down badly. The game between Smith and Barry, after the first three heads, in which Barry scored 10 to nil, was interesting, anil at one time the points were almost iqual. Details of scores are as follow, Fitzroy being mentioned first at each rink: Sole, Brooker, Jury, Higgs (s.) 14, v. Furlong, Morton, Blundell, H. Smart (s.) 30. • Oxeuham, iVeller, Huberts, Smith (s.) 22, v. Hoby, Phillips, S. Bundle, Bary (s) 29. Northern, Williams, Beadle, Allen (s.) 33, v. Hooper, Hammond. Ewing, Firth (s.) 15. STRATFORD CLUB. A visit will be paid the Manaia Club next week, three rinks leaving here to try conclusions with the Plains Club. On Easter Tuesday a Te Hiwi rink will visit Stratford.
