WHOLESALE MASSACRES. IN OCCUPIED COUNTRY. Received March 16, 7.15 p.m. United Strvice. London, March 15. A Turkish communique pretends that the Armenians seriously resisted the occupation of Erzerum. Undoubtedly the message is a sinister pretext for further wholesale massacres, as frightful butcheries are proceeding along the reoccupied Anatolian coast.
THE TURKS AT ERZERUM. London, March 15. A wireless Turkish official message states that "on June 12 we entered Erzerum, despite resistance from the Armenians."
