MADGE EVANS WORLD
FILM. "THE LITTLE DUCHESS." A melodrama of more than usual strength, which Ims for its central figure a remarkable child actress, will be found in "The Little Duchess,'' the World film play screening at Everybody's to-day and to-night. Geraldine is a little orphan who had lived with her English mother in a New York tenement. With ti little boy 'friend she runs away and in-r.s a circus, and this escapade is made the means of introducing some vivid and original touches into the story. She is traced down by the agents of Earl Carnimoi-e and goes to live with him, as she is proved to be his grandchild. The grouchy old man learns a new view of life .from his lovable little new relation, and incidentally the dark tragedy that had overshadowed the Carnimore family is brought to an end through a surprise discovery made by Geraldine. The supporting cast includes Pinna Nes!>it and James Davis, tho latter making a most satisfactory villain. Nothing too much can be made of the acting of Madge Evans in this film. She js wonderful and no less. Sotno excellent English settings and remarkable photography make the film start! out among re-. cent releases. Amongst the supports is the l&th episode of "The Iron Claw," which concludes next week.
